1972 MGB Roadster
£15,950

At Castle Classic Cars we only select a few MGB Roadsters each year as there is a limited supply of top examples, and this is one such car. It has been rebuilt in the past to an exceptionally high standard with mirror finish paint, a perfectly detailed engine bay and an up-rated interior with superb black leather seats. All of the MGB's that we sell have superb panel alignment and this car certainly ticks that box as you will see from the photographs. The engine looks to be on a genuine mileage of 48,000 miles based upon the MOT history that we have. The chrome work is like new and the car just looks and drives superbly. The provenance box is also ticked with its original purchase invoice and receipt still in the history file along with other paperwork it was issued with when new. There are lots of invoices relating to maintenance over the years as well. The current MOT which is advisory free expires in June 2023 and a quick glance at the MOT history which you can see online will show it has passed every time without an advisory since 2006. The car pulls well through the gears, runs cleanly with good oil pressure. The overdrive gearbox works as it should and the car is a joy to drive. There are lots of MGBs on the market, but if you want one that you can truly be proud of and take to the local shows, this one should be on your list to view, you won't be disappointed!

1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth - Big Turbo model

The Ford Escort RS Cosworth really needs no introduction but to briefly summarise it was a sports derivative and rally homologation special of the fifth generation Ford Escort. This model was available as a road car between 1992 and 1996 and a total of 7,145 cars were built. The first generation which comprised 2,500 cars were built for homologation and these were fitted with the larger Garrett T34 Turbo. The early cars are the more sort after of which this is one being registered in August 1992. This particular example has been with the last custodian for seven years and during that time it has remained in storage and has covered approximately 400 miles. It has been well preserved and cared for over the last seven years. Prior to that the car was again kept in storage for over 10 years which accounts for the current mileage of 65,951 miles. The car retains all of its originality including its factory paint which has various blemishes but overall presents very well indeed as the photographs will demonstrate. Equipment includes electrically operated door mirrors, electric front windows, heated front and rear windscreen and washer jets, headlight washers, opening rear quarter vent windows. centre and rear arm rests and rear head restraints, load compartment light, turbo gauge, voltmeter, oil pressure gauge, height adjustable driver's seat, three spoke leather steering wheel, quartz digital clock, glovebox illumination, locking body-coloured fuel cap, central locking, remote tailgate release, spare wheel cover, The interior still presents very well indeed with a good dashboard that has no cracks whilst the Recaro seats which are finished in the Polaris Grey Hex cloth are still in good condition and just show minor wear in places. The rear seats are in excellent condition. The boot space is in good condition with no marks on the carpet. The carpets are all in good condition having been protected by mats. Externally the car has body colour front bumper with black lower splitter, louvred bonnet air intakes, wing air extraction grilles, aerodynamic rear wing with lower boot spoiler, Ford RS five-spoke alloy wheels. The underside of the car remains in very good condition. Overall this is very much a factory original car which is showing the odd blemish but in the main remains in excellent condition after its near 66,000 miles. We cannot warrant the mileage, but knowing how long the car has remained in storage and looking at the originality and condition of the car the mileage looks to be correct. The engine starts on the button and pulls well with no smoke and the gearbox goes through the gears without issue. The last cambelt change was in September 2017 when the mileage stood at 65,747 miles. The history file contains the V5 and miscellaneous invoices including the latest cambelt change. The car has had 6 keepers in total. Fast Fords of any description have been in vogue for quite some time which is why values of these rare Cosworth powered Escorts continue to climb in value. This car has lots of appeal given its originality which even includes the water bag from the injection kit as well as the fitted brick size mobile phone holder! The trajectory of values remains on an upward course and this relatively low mileage car provides the perfect opportunity to grab an early Escort RS Cosworth that should deliver further valuation upside over the coming years.

1936 MG TA
£28,750

This 1936 MG TA has just emerged from a comprehensive chassis up rebuild. The car had been stored in a barn for over 40 years prior to this. The restoration has included a good upgrade which is an XPAG engine that has been fully rebuilt although the original engine block will come with the car. The full list of works includes the following: All body panels blasted, primed and painted Front brakes renewed, rear brakes overhauled New brake master cylinder Kings pins and rear trunnion bushes renewed New tyres and tubes Radiator re-cored with all new hoses Chromework re-chromed where needed Engine re-sleeved, re bored, new pistons, crankshaft re-ground with new bearings, cylinder head overhauled Fast road cam fitted Stainless steel exhaust fitted New wiring loom All instruments overhauled New interior trim and new carpets New hood, sidescreens, new frame and fixings New clutch drive plate - a later MG TD gearbox has been fitted which is all synchro. New ignition system and light switches New road wheel spinners New petrol tank straps and rubbers New wood as required, floor boards, rear panel and storage panel New battery and isolator switch New instrument mounting panel Direction indicators fitted Dynamator fitted. As you can see the list is very comprehensive and the total cost of the restoration has come to a little under £20k and that does not include a large element of labour. There is also the useful upgrade of a Dynamator which is effectively an alternator packaged as a Dynamo. The end result as the pictures will show is a lovely looking MG TA in a very attractive colour combination of black with red leather. The car runs and drives as it should and provides a lively performance with the fast road cam that has been fitted. The history files contains a thick pile of invoices relating to the restoration. The car is the perfect way to start a summer of motoring.

1954 MG TF 1250
£21,950

This lovely MG TF 1250 has been with the same family for the last 23 years. It has clearly been very well maintained and preserved. Prior to their ownership the car was subjected to a full body refurbishment and in 2004 the engine was fully rebuilt by Brown and Gammons which included an unleaded conversion at a cost of £8,000. Since then the engine has completed just 5,000 miles. As the photographs will demonstrate the paint finish on the car remains excellent and mechanically the car is still in super order as you would expect of a car that has only done 5,000 miles on a fully rebuilt engine. The interior is showing some wear in places but remains generally in good order. The car starts on the button and runs cleans and moves through the gears without issue. More recent work includes new rear brake master cylinders and a new water pump. It has full wet weather gear and a tonneau. The history file contains various invoices relating to work carried out over the years including the full detailed invoice for the work carried out by Brown and Gammons on the engine in 2004. Also included is a handbook and a number of other reference books on the TC. There are also numerous spares that come with the car. The car has been maintained well over the last 20 years and should give many years of excellent service to its next custodian
