1954 MG TF 1250
£22,950

This lovely MG TF 1250 has been with the same family for the last 23 years. It has clearly been very well maintained and preserved. Prior to their ownership the car was subjected to a full body refurbishment and in 2004 the engine was fully rebuilt by Brown and Gammons which included an unleaded conversion at a cost of £8,000. Since then the engine has completed just 5,000 miles. As the photographs will demonstrate the paint finish on the car remains excellent and mechanically the car is still in super order as you would expect of a car that has only done 5,000 miles on a fully rebuilt engine. The interior is showing some wear in places but remains generally in good order. The car starts on the button and runs cleans and moves through the gears without issue. More recent work includes new rear brake master cylinders and a new water pump. It has full wet weather gear and a tonneau. The history file contains various invoices relating to work carried out over the years including the full detailed invoice for the work carried out by Brown and Gammons on the engine in 2004. Also included is a handbook and a number of other reference books on the TC. There are also numerous spares that come with the car. The car has been maintained well over the last 20 years and should give many years of excellent service to its next custodian

1993 Jaguar XJS 4.0 2+2 Auto
£13,500

This 1993 Jaguar XJS 4.0 2+2 Auto has been with its last custodian for 12 years and during that time it has been regularly used, serviced and maintained. The car presents exceptionally well with a good corrosion free body with consistent and excellent paint finish across the car. The underside is also in really good order with no corrosion issues. The car has only been used on dry days and that reflects in the condition today. The interior is also in excellent condition with just the usual wear showing on the driver's seat, but aside from that the front and rear seats are in good order. Mechanically the car is very good and it starts on the button and runs cleanly. The auto gearbox is very smooth with no issues. The hood works as it should and is in good condition. The current MOT expires in March 2023. The history file contains a plethora of invoices relating to service history and general maintenance. The service book is also present along with other material issued when the car was new. Overall if you are seeking a nice, well maintained XJS with no corrosion issues, this one certainly ticks the boxes and is well worth viewing especially at our asking price of just £13,500.

1972 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 Coupe
£54,995

This series 3 E-Type has had just two keepers over the last 16 years and during that time it has been well maintained and cared for. The car was subjected to a full body restoration in the 90s and around 10 years ago it was repainted to a very good standard whilst the interior has also been refreshed. The end result as the photographs will demonstrate is a car that still presents superbly. In recent years the car has had a good deal of maintenance to maintain its mechanical condition which include a new header tank, refurbishment of the power steering rack, and brakes overhauled. In 2020 the car was completely gone through and the cost of these works came to close to £4,000. Other notable works in recent years include: Bumpers rechromed Polly bushed front suspension High performance starter New distributor Chrome wire wheels Refurbished brake callipers Reconditioned gearbox Powder coated rear axle beam New brake servo and master cylinder All hoses replaced On the road the car quickly gets up to temperature with excellent power delivery and oil pressure; the car moves through the gears without issue. The car was road tested by Classic and Sportscar magazine in October 2018 and a copy of this is in the file. The history file contains a heritage certificate which confirms this is a matching numbers car in its original colour scheme. The history file is quite comprehensive with invoices dating back to the 80s. There is also the car's original Passport to Service booklet which is stamped up along with the Operating, Maintenance and Service book. This is a super example of a Series E-Type which should certainly be on your list of cars to view.

1953 Jowett Jupiter
£29.950

We have been asked to market this lovely 1953 Jowett Jupiter on behalf of a client who is located in Norfolk which is where the car is currently kept. He has been the custodian of this car for the last seven years during which time it has been carefully maintained and preserved. It is an older restoration but still presents very well indeed with the odd paintwork blemish whilst the interior is also in excellent condition. The car has a factory reconditioned engine which is not uncommon for cars of this era. The engine starts on the button and runs cleanly and the car moves through its gears without issue. To demonstrate how mechanically fit the car is it was put through an MOT in March which it has passed without any advisories. It goes without saying that these are rare cars which rarely come to market and this one is the sole example currently available for sale so do act quick if you are seeking open top motoring for the coming summer. The owner has provided us with some notes on the car which we have pasted below. If you would like to view this car which we highly recommend, it is based in Norfolk and we will put you in direct contact with the owner to arrange this. "We have owned our Jowett Jupiter for 7 Years. A body off restoration had taken place before we owned it, clearly with the target of maintaining originality wherever possible. She rides on Avon H.M.Tourist, cross-ply tyres. The chassis remains in a lovely, black painted condition. It was fitted with a factory reconditioned engine and we understand that these engines were built to the improved specification of the later models which is very advantageous. Having decoked it and examined the bores which show no wear, we are under the impression that the engine has not yet reached the stage where it is fully “run-in”. The car has a steel chassis and bulkhead, door frames, etc., and is panelled in aluminium. Owing to personal circumstances, followed by the pandemic, we have not been able to use the car as much as we would have liked to and the time has come to find it a new owner. We did successfully complete the Jowett Great North Road rally in 2019, but since then usage has been minimal. The car is painted in a lovely version of British Racing Green which we believe is the most suitable colour for the car. Yes, it does have very few minor blemishes which were present when we bought it, but they remain as they were then. As it is a non-metallic finish they could easily be removed. However, we buy our cars with the intention of driving enjoyment, having no interest in concours shows etc., and so have generally left the paintwork as is. We have many friends who own concours cars and other than trailering them to shows, are afraid to use them. Over the years we have resisted making alterations to the car, but we did discover that many Jupiters have been fitted with the smaller choke and jet size Zenith carburettors from the Javelin, owners having found that proper Jupiter units are no longer available. Naturally, this reduces the performance of the cars. Consequently, we commissioned a carburettor reconditioning company to build us a pair of carburettors to the correct Jupiter specification. Fitted with these the car has significantly better performance. The seat was recovered in red leather when the car was restored and a new, high quality, hood was fitted. When lowered the hood drops into the area behind the seat and gives a very pleasing look to the car when the hood is down. Of all the classic cars that we have owned, this one probably receives the most attention when it is out on the road. We will never forget the time when we sat 3 abreast with our grandson and a Porsche pulled alongside us as we drove down a dual carriageway. They hooted, shouted, and waved with their enjoyment at seeing this rare car. The shape of the car is very interesting. It seems to spark a feeling of pleasure in people that see it for the first time. The front profile is somewhat powerfully shaped, with parts of the boxer engine visible through the grill. Then the rear of the car which gracefully curves downward provides an exciting contrast. Photographs of the car taken from the side are very interesting. It presents an unusual version of car design and along with cars like the Jaguar XK120 must represent a point of transition from the standard British box cars of the 1930s. The car has a new MOT with no advisories. The history file contains photographs of the restoration and important technical notes, etc."

1972 MGB Roadster - just 26,000 warranted miles from new.
£19,750

This remarkable MGB Roadster has come to us with just 26,500 miles on the clock from new. The car has the best provenance you are going to get with records starting from 1972 including a purchase invoice, passport to service book with some early stamps and a long list of invoices and MOTs from new which prove the mileage of the car to be correct. It has been in the same family since it was six months old and although the car was little used it was still regularly serviced, MOT'd and maintained properly from the word go. In terms of the condition, the car came to us with tired paintwork which given the mileage we were tempted to keep, but the decision was made to give the paint a refresh taking it back to bare metal and we are delighted with the result. The paint finish is superb and the car just looks correct. The interior is all original and even the carpets are still in excellent condition. The dashboard is in super condition as is all of the interior trim. Even the hood is in good condition. The engine bay is very tidy and all in all this car is undoubtedly one of the best we have had come through Castle Classic Cars and with the amazing provenance this car has, it is hard to beat. We will place a fresh advisory free MOT on this car at the point of sale. If you want an MGB which retains much of its originality, is low mileage and retains superb panel gaps, this car really should be top of your list to view, you will not be disappointed. We also have in stock a superb heritage bodied roadster and a further Roadster which is also in superb condition will soon be ready in our workshop.

1949 MG TC
£25,950

This 1949 MG TC has been the subject of a total restoration which took place over a period of around seven years which was completed in 2007. The car was in a barn find state when found and a full and very comprehensive restoration took place taking the car back to its chassis which was blasted and painted and the car was rebuilt from there. Every aspect of the car has either been refurbished or replaced and this includes a new body tub, new wiring loom, renewed braking system, re-chrome of all major parts that needed it, complete refurbishment of all steel panels, refurbished dials, complete refurbishment of the cockpit to a high standard in green leather. The car has been painted in Shires Green to a very high standard indeed and as the photographs will demonstrate it presents very well indeed. The car comes with a substantial history as well and included is a lever arch file documenting in great photographic detail the restoration process. There is a second file crammed with several inches deep of invoices and just a quick scan of the totals suggest upwards of £20k worth of expenditure at prices 20 years ago. The sum today would be considerably more to achieve the standard of finish this car has. The car has had almost no use since its restoration and it presents as well today as it would have done fresh from its restoration. If you are seeking a well sorted MG TC which has had everything done this one is hard to beat.

1980 Chevrolet Corvette C3
£14,995

This 1980 Chevrolet Corvette C3 arrived in the UK in 1988 and has clearly been well cared for over the last two decades or so. The paintwork is generally in nice condition with the odd blemish and a few micro blisters on the front wings and one of the T Tops. The interior remains in good condition with the seats still in excellent order with no rips or tears.. The C3 is fitted with a 5,7 litre V8 which makes for a very nice sound track and there is little need for a radio in the cockpit when you can hear the rumble of the V8! This car is also fitted with the four speed manual gearbox which moves through the gears without issue and makes for a much more fun driving experience than the auto version. The car also benefits from a removable T top so that you can benefit from the sunshine and the V8 soundtrack. More recent work on the car includes new front brake calipers and pads, new alternator, Edelbrock inlet manifold, Holley Carb, new stereo, new OEM electric aerial, and electric cooling fans. The history file includes almost a full MOT history since the car's arrival in 1988 and one anomaly in the more recent history suggests that the mileage is closer to 88,000 miles than the suggested 101,000 on the clock. The car has a current MOT with no advisories which expires in April 2022. This car is now available for viewing. We are advertising this car on behalf of a local client and we will put interested parties in direct touch with the owner.
