Description

1938 Austin Seven Opal in superb condition.

The Opal was launched as a companion car to the Ruby and has very similar characteristics with the same front and the rear bodywork differing to the extent of the car being a two seater tourer with a square design of rear end providing good scope for storage behind the seats with the addition of a luggage bar.

The Opal was the first £100 Austin. Production ceased in 1939 and only around 100 survivors are believed to exist making this quite a rare car.

This car was in the same ownership for many decades and has been exceptionally well looked after with the previous owner having been a professional mechanic.

The car has excellent bodywork with straight panels and excellent paintwork. The hood looks to be relatively new and the interior is also in superb condition; mechanically the car is running very well and is ready for the 2014 show season.
