This Rover P5 3 litre has come from a deceased estate. The car belonged to a South African gentleman who moved to the UK four years ago and brought the car with him having bought it many years ago. In more recent times he had started to strip the car with the intention of restoring it, but ill health prevented that. The car has been stripped of various bits of external trim all of which we have, but that is as far as the restoration progressed. The car is generally quite sound but will require a complete restoration. The body has rust in places and the offside front wing has a dent in it. The engine turns but we have not attempted to start it. The interior will require full refurbishment.

The positive is that the body is largely quite sound and that is half the battle with a car such as this. We have been told by the executor that the car has been running in recent years.

The next custodian will have to arrange UK registration which should be straightforward. We have all of the import documentation on file and there were no duties as the car was brought here under a transfer of residency arrangement.

Given what values of good examples now command this is an excellent opportunity for someone with the right skill set to add value to this car.
