Description

This 1933 MG J1 is something of a rarity with only a handful or so of survivors known. This particular example was the subject of a complete restoration in the late 90s after which it was put into storage where it has stayed until now. Having been left for so long it will need a full recommissioning and restoration although the good news is that the body is just showing surface rust in places as is the chassis which has clearly been blasted and painted during the restoration process. The interior and wood is all good and the hood frame is present. The engine hasn't turned in 20 years and will need careful re-commissioning. This is a car that has had all of the work done including a new body tub and for someone with the right skill set it should prove to be a very rewarding restoration.

The hood frame is present although not attached to the car and it will need a new hood made.

The history file includes a buff log book and an old V5, but a new one will need to be applied for. The car is still registered on the DVLA mainframe which means the valuable MG number plate will come with the car. There is also a complete photographic record of the restoration

The car will be available for viewing on the 30th August and we urge you to act fast as this car is sure to generate a lot of interest. In terms of valuation we believe it is worth around the £15,000 mark. but all offers will be considered.
