Description

1936 Austin 10 Sherborne

This car was a barn find in 2011 having been with its previous owner for 42 years and having sat in a barn for most of that time. In fact the car has had a total of just four owners including the current one who has subjected the car to a full and sympathetic restoration, retaining as much of the original car as possible whilst ensuring the car is now fully fit for the road. We have bills on file approaching £5000 relating to the cost of the recent restoration. We also have a disc showing the pictures of the car during various stages of its restoration as well as photographs of the car when it was discovered in a barn in 2011, completing the story.

The car presents well and has an especially nice leather interior including a new headlining along with a fully functioning sunroof. The engine runs very well and has clearly been recommissioned to a good standard. Following the restoration the car has been in regular use and the current owner now needs to make room for his next project. The car comes with a buff log book and also rather uniquely a guarantee from Pride & Clarke dated 1939 relating to the sale of the car to one of the early owners. These are great little cars and this one has been restored to a level that should mean the new owner has no significant expenditure to face and many miles of fun motoring ahead.
